Sept 2008 Black Bear.

This is a Bear that me and Scott treed in Sept. 2008. There are two reasons I am posting this video. The first is I am so excited for the 2009 session to get started and the second is mine and Jason little Roxie dog. At the end of bear session 2008 she really started to come on strong and I am hoping that by the end of the 2009 bear session she will be striking and starting her own bear track. Will have to wait and see.

Lloyds 2008 Lion.

Well these are the pictures I was able to take. The weather man said that it was going to really get after it on Friday night with the snow. We were kind of wondering if it was going to worth going with all the new snow and stuff. But as most of us are we decided to go no matter what and man are we glad we did. When we got up on the Mt. that morning we found that it had only snowed about 1 in and the game was moving a little. we started to cut roads and a very long story short we drove down a old jeep trail and came to a dead end. turned around and about half way out of there we cut the track that had crossed behind us. We waited tell light and turned the dogs loose. they ran him up into some rocks and went round and round for about a hr before he treed. The sky was so dark with cloud cover and he treed up in a huge rock canyon that were hardley were able to take any pictures. This was are buddy Lloyds first lion and he was sure happy with it. hope you all enjoy.

2008 Fall Bear Hunts.

This fall has been very good to me and the hounds. We went down to Utah on my bear hunt and had a very good time. I we treed a bunch of bears 10 or so and for some reason or another didn't take my camera to all of them. I did get some good video of a bear we got on a power line and another one we got in a rock din. My brother Jason and buddy Scott was along for the ride. I run the dogs in Idaho during are sessions and Jason takes them down to Utah during theirs. Idaho fall seassions is one of the best I have had. Me and Scott have been treeing a bunch of bears and Scott did take his first black bear. It was a very nice bear. Well hope you all enjoy!

4 Bears - 2 Days

Well this all started on Friday morning. I went up hunting with Dana Ross. We had a hard time getting anything started tell around 7:30 am we finally got a good strike. I cut out Serria and she got the track going pretty fast but as it goes we walked the bear tell 2:00 pm that afternoon. Scott came up that evening and we got camp set up and went back out hunting around 6:00 pm. We got a really go strike and turned the dogs loose and had the bear treed in about hour. Got to the tree and took some pic. and video and then went back to camp. This morning we got up and left camp and about 20 min after doing so we got the second bear. She ran for about 30 min and treed in some hell hole that took forever to get to. Got the dogs loaded up after that and ended up striking number 3 bear just a few hundred yards from the spot we turned out on number 2 bear. That bear treed in about 5 min and we went to the tree again took pic. and video and went down to the truck. The dogs are getting pretty tired by now so we put them back on the box and were going to take the long way back to camp just to see if we could get anything. As our lucky weekend would have it we had a good strick, cut the dogs loose and treed number 4 bear in about 30 min. Scott and myself had a really good weekend and I cant waite tell my Utah hunt. July 11th and 12th Bear Hunts!

Well myself and Scott did a little Bear hunting this weekend. We started on Friday and ended Saturday afternoon. Friday morning we put up a little guy. It took a little time to get one going due to a good strike that didn't pan out then we had to gather dogs up and that's when we got him. That will be the Bear in the first video you see. The second Bear we got that Night. We got a good strike and treed this Bear I think before any dogs even hit the road. It was a sow with 1 cub. I think there was two there but Scott was sure there was only one. The dogs did a really good job of treeing. This will be the bears in the second video. the Bear in the third video is the Bear we got on Saturday morning. We got a really good strike and turned Scott's Mickey dog on it and he ran up the hill in the direction the Bear went but never opened. That is when we put Sierra on it and she opened up the hill a ways and the race was on. Mickey is doing very well this year and we are hoping to see some good thing out of him in the feature. The Bear treed and that's about it. The third video is really short due to mu camera battery dieing. We had a really good time this weekend!

Fridays Hunt. 6.27.2008

Went up on Friday and treed this little guy pretty quick. Came back up Friday night with Scott and we turned lose on a pretty hot struck and the dogs jumped the bear off the road about 200'. The action was pretty good for about an hour then one by one the dogs started to quick the race!! That sucked. A really long story short, we had 4 dogs stay the night on the mountain and ended up getting the last one about 1:00 pm this afternoon. Still had a good time.

Family Weekend Bear Hunt.

Well myself Lori, and the kids went bear hunting this week and had a great time. Kasey and his family were up there and on Friday morning went hunting with us. We put a small bear up that morning but I took off and didn't bring the camera. That night Scott came up with his boy Parker and we put this little guy up! The dogs did great and like I said the family had a great time.

Weekend Bear Hunt

This is what we ended up catching this past weekend. We started to hunt on Thursday and came home on Saturday. Hope you all enjoy!

To Much Snow!!

Myself, Marty, Scott and Dan went hunting bear today. Dan had the allstar dogs that is for sure! His Sassy dog struck on a Bear about 7:30 am. We cut her and Jason's Larry dog lose and it seamed as if they got the track lined out. Scott than put his to dogs in and Marty put Jason Crickett dog down and the race was on. A very very long story short we did alot of walking and ended up with no bear in the tree. I still had a good time and the dogs will only get better. The session is still young. I can't wait tell the Utah hunt. The pic is of a good size bears track that me and Dan cut while we were looking for dogs.

Didn't turn out!!

We went Lion hunting this past weekend and found a small older track. Didn't have anything else to promising to run so we started to walk this one out. Needless to say when we got a good distence from the truck we found ware someone on a 4 wheeler had foound the same track a day before and run it. So Back to the truck we went with our heads low. But the good news is there is alweys next weekend!!!
